Mykonos Island is one of the most cosmopolitan islands of Greece and even the Mediterranean. It is known for having a sophisticated nightlife.
But the interest of the island does not stop there. It has much to offer like extraordinary landscapes, beautiful and typical Cycladic villages with small white cubic houses in narrow alleys, hundreds of charming little traditional churches and gorgeous sandy beaches with crystalline waters.
Here is a brief listing of some of the highlights. Feel free to inquire at the reception for information on others.

MYKONOS TOWN (Hora)
Mykonos is a traditional Cycladic village, with white houses with blue wooden doors and windows, brightly coloured balconies and fuchsia bougainvilleas growing on the white walls. Mykonos town is considered as the most beautiful of the Mykonos villages. Walking in the small labyrinth streets, closed to motor traffic the afternoon and evening, you will find many beautiful houses, churches, tavernas, chic boutiques and shops selling souvenirs.
Mykonos is a cosmopolitan town were many celebrities spend some time.
The best moment to visit the town is early in the morning when most people head out to the beaches or still sleeping after a long night in the many clubs.
There are some places that worth to be visited. On the Old Venetian Kastro hill, you will find the complex of churches known as 'Our Lady Paraportiani, recognized as a national cultural monument. It is the oldest and best known church.
Coming from the port quay and on your way into town, you will find the Archaeological museum which has sculptures, vases and figurines from the island of Delos and Rhenia.
In the town, you will also find the nautical museum. There is also the Folklore Museum in which you will find a collection of icons, furniture, pieces of sculpture and folk musical instruments.
The shore leads to a world known area called "Little Venice" because of its high Venetian houses with their multicoloured porches and wooden balconies, build in the water with the waves breaking under them. It is one of the most picturesque corners of the island. It is located in front of the small sandy beach "Alefkandra".
In that area, you will find many trendy café and bars. On the opposite side of the bay, you will find the famous windmills from where you can have a nice view over the Little Venice.
Mykonos Town is also famous all over the world for its nightlife. The town counts many bars and clubs. Many parties are also organised in summer time.

PLATYS GIALOS: is a popular tourist resort of Mykonos. It is found to the south side of the island, in distance 4km from Chora.

AGIOS IOANNIS: is the beach where the movie Shirley Valentine was filmed. Just 4,2 km from Mykonos Town,5 km from the airport and 4,6 km from the port.

ORNOS: (3.5 Km from Mykonos Town) is a small heaven, a beautiful coarse sand beach with a few tavernas, hotels and rooms. ...

PARADISE: (Kalamopodi)the all over tan sandy beach is well sheltered by its headland. Take the little boat from Platy Gialo to get there.

SUPER PARADISE: (Plintri) is a magnificent beach with crystal-clear blue water in a small but deep bay. Nudist beach, used to be a mainly gay beach.

PSAROU: Near to the picturesque settlement of Ornos, which is found in distance of 2 km and at the south-west side of Chora, we meet the wonderful beach Psarou.

PARAGA: Nice, small beach with beautiful landscape (Cape Drapanos).

AGIOS STEFANOS: Agios Stephanos (4 km North from Mykonos) is a busy coarse sand resort with some hotels near its beach and water sports. ...

AGRARI: Another beautiful beach of the island. It belongs to the quiet beaches and those who prefer people who avoid the cosmopolitan places.

AGIOS SOSTIS: The beach of Agios Sostis is near to the tourist resort of Agios Stefanos. This long sandy beach is the perfect choice for people who avoid the crowded beaches.

CHOULAKIA: Next to the seaside village of Agios Stefanos is found the beach Choulakia. It’s a natural monument of beauty.

LIA: In the east side of Mykonos and in distance 12 km from the Chora we meet the beautiful settlement of Kalafatis. In that region, is found and the beach lia. Its a quiet sandy beach that is offered for moments of relaxation.

ELIA: Elia (golden sandy beach) is 8 kilometers away from Mykonos and linked with frequent buses from Mykonos town. Elia is almost exclusively nudist and probably the best beach in Mykonos. The last stop of the sea transportation with small boats which push out from Platis Gialos.

KALO LIVADI: (10 Km from Mykonos Town) is a very long stunning beach. There is a taverna and wind surfing...

PANORMOS BAY: (north to Mykonos), Right next to Agio Sosti, was the site of Mykonos three ancient sites. There are two sandy and windy beaches.

AGIA ANNA: Quiet beach on the Southeast part of the island. Between Agia Anna and Kalafatis there is the Divounda peninsula with fishing port. Beautiful landscape.

FTELIA: In the north, has also been very popular among surfers for many years. It is true. A windsurfer's paradise!

KAPARI: A peacefull small beach.Its the perfect choice for people who avoid the cosmopolitan beaches.
